Learning Platform Privacy Notice
Thank you for using our Learning Platform, we hope you enjoy the experience. We value your privacy which we protect with our Privacy Notice. Digital Learning Institute will not provide any information, which you give us, to any other organisation or individual without your express permission or legal obligation. This Notice allows you to be aware of the way your personal data is used, why we use it as a Data Controller, and what we do with it.
1. Information we may collect from you
Personal data means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data). We may collect and process any type of personal data you provide to us in the course of your use of the Digital Learning Institute Learning Platform. You may have provided some of your personal data directly to us such as when register to use the platform.
If you do not provide us with your personal data, we may not be able to provide you with our services through our Learning Platform
2. Why do we collect your data (purposes) and on which legal basis?
We will only use your personal data for the purposes and legal bases set out in the table below.

3. What personal data do we collect and in which circumstances do we collect them?
Data that you directly transmit to Digital Learning Institute
This data includes your name, first name, email address, phone number, profile picture etc.
Data that is automatically collected by Digital Learning Institute Learning Platform
Every time you visit our websites and apps, we collect information related to your connection and browsing via the cookies’ technology.
Special Category data
Digital Learning Institute does not collect any Special Category data from you.
Minors
Digital Learning Institute does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. We do not provide services for purchase by children, nor do we market to children. If you are under the age of 16, please do not submit any personal information through our website or Learning Platform.
4. How long do we retain your data?
Your personal data is retained for a duration that complies with applicable regulations or that is proportionate to the purposes for which they have been saved. When the retention of data is no more justified by requirements of a legal or commercial nature or requirements that relate to the management of your profile, or if you have exercised your right to modify or erase this data, we shall erase these in a secured manner.
5. Who do we share your data with?
In specific conditions, Digital Learning Institute may disclose your personal data to third parties only as is necessary to provide our services to you, and under the conditions stipulated below:
- Our service providers/personal data processors
Your data is accessible to the service providers to which we subcontract all or part of the processing that we perform on your data (hosting of the Platform and of the data, maintenance, confirming orders etc.).
The processors on which we rely comply with the guarantees required by the legislation which governs the protection of personal data. They only have access to the data that are necessary for the purpose of the performance of their services and are not allowed to process your data for other uses.
- Competent Authorities When Required by Law
Your personal data may be divulged to relevant government authorities by virtue of a law, a regulation or a decision of a competent regulatory or judicial authority.
In general, we undertake to comply with all legal rules which may prevent, limit or govern the dissemination of information or data and notably to comply with the applicable regulations governing the protection of data.

Our Learning Platform may, from time to time, contain links to and from other websites. If you follow a link to any of those websites, please note that those websites have their own privacy policies and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for those policies. Please check those policies before you submit any personal data to those websites.
6. What are your rights on your data and how to exercise them?
You have the following rights in relation to the personal data that we hold on you
- access to any data we process about you;
- the rectification of your personal data which is inaccurate or incomplete;
- the erasure of your personal data subject to certain conditions;
- The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions;
- The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions;
- The right to data portability – You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time (where relevant);

6.2 How to exercise your rights?
If you wish to exercise any of the above rights, please contact us. We may request proof of identification to verify your request. We will respond to any valid requests within one month, unless it is particularly complicated or you have made repeated requests in which case we will respond, at the latest, within three months. We will inform you of any such extension within one month of receipt of your request, together with the reasons for the delay. You will not be charged a fee to exercise any of your rights unless your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive, in which case we will charge a reasonable fee in the circumstances or refuse to act on the request.
7. International Transfers
Your use of our services may also involve the transfer, storage, and processing of your personal data to other countries outside of the European Economic Area. We will take appropriate measures, in compliance with applicable law, to ensure that your personal data remains protected. Such measures include the use of Standard Contractual Clauses to safeguard the transfer of data outside of the EEA.
8. Where and how is your data secured?
In our capacity as a Data Controller, we implement appropriate technical and organisational measures which comply with applicable legal rules, in order to protect your personal data from alteration, accidental or illicit loss, use, or unauthorised access, including:
- securing access to our premises and our IT platforms;
- Utilising industry best standards of practice in safeguarding data;
- having high requirements as regards data protection when we select our processors and partners;
No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure. Therefore, although we follow industry best standards on information security management to safeguard sensitive information, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.

We reserve our right to amend this Notice in order to comply with the legal rules and regulations but also because our services continuously evolve.
